Support for Scientific Student Research 2023-2024 scholarship

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Pécs (hereinafter referred to as BTK) announces a scholarship competition for the "Support for Scientific Student Research 2023-2024" scholarship.

The total amount of the scholarship: 973,340 HUF

The scholarship is open to students who:

Have an active student status at BTK at the time of application, or are enrolled in an undivided teacher training program offered by the Faculty of Science at the University of Pécs, where one part of the program falls under the jurisdiction of BTK.

Are actively engaged in scientific student research (TDK) and can provide verification from their TDK supervisor.

Commit to presenting their ongoing research at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scientific Student Research Conference, scheduled for spring 2024.

To apply, the following documents must be submitted:

• Completed Application Form (see Attachment 1).

• Report on the current phases and future scheduling of TDK work (maximum 1 page).

• Confirmation from the TDK supervisor.

• Proof of student status.

Applications should be submitted electronically to Dr. Melinda Pohárnok, the Chair of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scientific Student Research Council, at ktdt.btk.pte@gmail.com. There is no opportunity for resubmission.

Application deadline: October 27, 2023.

All students who submit their application by the above deadline and commit to presenting their work at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scientific Student Research Conference in April 2024 will be awarded the scholarship. The award of scholarships will be confirmed by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scientific Student Research Council, based on the minutes taken at the conference, and any potential reimbursement obligations will be determined by the scholarship-awarding committee.

A three-member professional committee designated by the Dean will decide on the allocation of scholarships. One member of the committee is an active student of BTK who is not involved in the application process. The available scholarship amount will be distributed equally among the eligible students who submitted valid applications.

Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition by email to the address registered in the academic system by November 30, 2023. The awarded scholarship will be disbursed to the applicant's registered bank account in the academic system no later than December 23, 2023, through a bank transfer.

Obligations of scholarship recipients:

Students awarded the scholarship are required to present their work at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scientific Student Research Conference, scheduled for April 2024. If a student fails to participate in the conference due to their own fault, they will be obligated to repay the scholarship.
